Aims and Objectives:
This aim of this course is to build the confidence of staff working with people that may benefit from income maximisation help. It aims to increase staff’s understanding of poverty and the importance of asking about money worries, and increase knowledge of what support agencies can provide to those needing financial support.
By the end of this course, you should be able to:
- Have an understanding of poverty and its impact
- Have confidence to ask about money worries
- Have knowledge of support services for money matters.
Duration:
1 hours and 30 minutes
Audience:
This training is aimed at any individual staff or volunteer of public services or third sector/community groups that work with individuals to provide a service and additional support [skilled level]. This course is open to all sectors within the NHS Highland Board area.
