Developing Your Trauma Skilled Practice 2 : trauma in children and young people

Aims and Objectives:

This supplementary module is part of the Developing your Trauma Skilled Practice e-learning program and is designed for anyone working with children and young people who may have been affected by traumatic events.

Learning Outcomes:

  • To recognise the impact of trauma on children and young people
  • To understand how children and young people recover from trauma
  • To learn how to meet the needs of children and young people who have experienced trauma.

Duration: 

The module should take you around 1.25 hours to complete.

Audience: 

This training is aimed at any individual staff or volunteer of public services or third sector/community groups that are likely to be coming into contact with people who may have been affected by trauma. Please complete the foundational module “Developing your trauma skilled practice 1” if you have not done so already.
