Developing Your Trauma Skilled Practice 3 : understanding the impact on mental health and evidence-based pathways to recovery

Aims and Objectives:

This supplementary module is part of the Developing your trauma skilled practice e-learning program and is designed for anyone working with people who may have contact with people who may have been affected by traumatic events.

Learning Outcomes: 

  • To identify the range of natural reactions to traumatic events
  • To identify the symptoms of PTSD and Complex PTSD
  • To recognise when a person may benefit from a trauma specialist intervention and know how to facilitate access to intervention(s).

Duration: 

The module should take you around 1.25 hours to complete.

Audience: 

This training is aimed at any individual staff or volunteer of public services or third sector/community groups that are likely to be coming into contact with people who may have been affected by trauma. Please complete the foundational module “Developing your trauma skilled practice 1” prior.
