Who this is for: Anyone who works in NHS Highland area or partner organisations, including the voluntary sector, that recognise their role has or could have an impact on health inequalities and would like to find out more about what health inequalities are and what we can do about them.
Learning aims:
The aim of this course is to explore why tackling inequalities is the responsibility of everyone, what works to tackle health inequalities and explore how to apply this learning in your own working practices.
Learning outcomes:
By the end of the course, you will be able to: Define what health is and learn about the different dimensions of health Discover different approaches to health and reflect on how this applies in your own work setting Understand what is meant by health inequalities and causes Explore what works in tackling health inequalities Reflect on practical application of knowledge gained.
