World Bipolar Day 2024: Share Your Diagnosis Story

March 30

World Bipolar Day is on the 30th March. This year, we are marking it by inviting people living with bipolar to share the story of their diagnosis.

In Scotland, on average, it takes people living with bipolar 9.8 years to get an accurate diagnosis. We want to change that: the first, vital step, will be gathering your stories.  We’re hoping these stories will both challenge public stigma and encourage healthcare providers across Scotland to ask the right questions.

You can opt to share your diagnosis story by video or to write it down. We are also more than happy to have your video transcribed or post your written story anonymously – we won’t share your name or image anywhere without your consent.
