‘For Me‘ is the new app that puts Childline in your pocket. It’s free, it’s secure and it’s designed by young people for young people. The For Me app is only available on iOS. But if you’re on an Android or other devices you can still use the website for anything you can do on the app.
Side by Side (formerly known as ‘Elefriends’)
Side by Side is a supportive online community from the mental health charity Mind. We all know what it’s like to struggle sometimes, but now there’s a safe place to listen, share and be heard. Whether you’re feeling good right now, or really low, it’s a place to share experiences and listen to others.
SAMH Know where to go
Every year one in four of us in Scotland experience a mental health problem.
But one in five adults in Scotland don’t know where to go to get help. What’s more, 25% of people who experience mental health problems wait more than a year to seek help after first developing concerns about their mental health.
Whilst not strictly an app, SAMH’s Know Where to Go campaign is a downloadable PDF, working to ensure that people in Scotland get the help they need for their mental health when they need it. This guide is not here to diagnose you, it is here to provide you or someone you know with the information and tools needed to get help for your mental health.
Stressheads
Stressheads was developed by the charity YouthNet. We worked with young people to find out what would help you feel calmer during moments when life gets too much. You told us you wanted a way of managing stress that could be carried in your pocket, and so we created Stressheads – the de-stress app for young people.
STOPP
Use STOPP app if you want to start to stop your stress, anxiety, depression, negative thinking, over or under-eating, drinking, smoking, gambling, aggression, self harm or other unhelpful habits” Learn this one key skill.
THRIVE
Thrive helps you prevent and manage stress, anxiety and related conditions. The game based app can be used to relax before a stressful situation or on a more regular basis to help you live a happier, more stress-free life.
