A short film (4 minutes) , asking us to consider the impact a suicide can have on the people left behind. It addresses the stigma around suicide and the importance of challenging stigma to create a compassionate, kind and supportive response to those bereaved. The stories you’ll hear are personal to the people sharing them.

Impacted by Suicide

A short film (4 minutes 30 secs) that seeks to raise awareness of the much wider impact that a suicide can have both
to individuals and to people around them. To highlight the importance of self-care and reaching out for support at an early stage and to help signpost people to access support, regardless of their relationship to the person who has died by or attempted suicide. You’ll hear from real people about how it felt for them and what helped.

Guidance notes if sharing these films with groups of people

These guidance notes are designed to support anyone sharing in person or online within their community, workplace or group, to ensure everyone’s safety and wellbeing.

Suicide is an emotive topic that is likely to have touched most people’s lives in one way or another, this doesn’t mean we shouldn’t talk about it. It’s important to talk about it, but important we do that safely.
