Aims and Objectives:
This course is specifically designed for those who wish to support their organisation at strategic level with the introduction of organisational wellbeing initiatives and supporting all staff to identify wellbeing needs within their roles/teams.
The course includes:
- Roles and responsibilities of a Wellbeing Champion and fitting within our organisations
- Building a business case for senior managers for workplace wellbeing and implementing initiatives
- Stigma in the workplace and ways to tackle this as an organisation
- Collaborative working with other teams across your organisation and guidance on specific roles involved in wellbeing initiatives
- Influencers of workplace wellbeing and ways to promote this
- Development of a Wellbeing Champions toolkit and practical tools to share with colleagues
- A follow up plan to support with implementation of the Wellbeing Champion role
Duration:
3hr 2 x 1.5hr sessions
Audience:
Training course pre-requisites. You must have:
- Basic mental health awareness and understanding of mental health problems
- Basic understanding of common mental health problems/related issues in the workplace
- Clearance from your line manager to dedicate time towards the continuous role of a Wellbeing Champion. We recommend 1 day/ two half-days per month.
